dcdark: Young Justice #42 (Apr 2002). Cover by Todd Nauck This comic was just so incredibly good. I was collecting the issues years after the series came out, and I freaked when I saw that Hal Jordan as the Spectre was in an issue. Anyway, this whole series was just so incredible. Peter David is a fantastic writer, and Todd Nauck’s artwork was just perfect for the series. Everyone should check it out. Zoom

From The Spectre #9 I have said that I love the character the Spectre, and this is from my favorite of his series. Written by the genius J. M. DeMatteis with the art by Ryan Sook, this series masterfully redefined the character of the Spectre from the wrathful Spirit of Vengeance to kind Spirit of Redemption. Also, Hal Jordan was now the Spectre, after he had died to save the Earth. Fun Fact: The Spectre was originally created by Jerry Siegel, one of the creators of Superman.
